posted Nov 18, 2016, 8:33 AM by Kesha Simmons

Brandeis University’s Global Youth Summit on the Future of Medicine will be held June 25-July 1, 2017.  At the Summit, students will discuss how health and medicine are rapidly evolving with leaders in the field, participate in cutting-edge simulations, and work in dynamic small teams to develop their own solutions to complex medical challenges.

Caddo Magnet High School can nominate up to five outstanding students to attend the 2017 Summit.  To qualify, you must be a current sophomore or junior, be interested in a career in the medical field, rank in the top 5% of your class, and demonstrate strong academic performance in challenging course work.  If you are interested in being nominated for the Summit, submit a one-page essay to your counselor describing why you should be chosen as a nominee.   Ensure your name and email address is listed at the top of your essay.  Essays are due to Mrs. Miles, Junior Counselor, by Wednesday, December 14.

For more information on the Summit, go to: http://www.brandeis.edu/youthsummit/medicine/index.html.

*Costs are associated with the program but financial need scholarships are available through Brandeis University.  A detailed fundraising guide will also be provided.
